Memorial Day

Purple Heart Memorial Day Ceremony

Due to COVID restrictions and the pandemic we have not held this ceremony in several years.  If we can obtain the necessary resources and support we may consider holding the Memorial Day Ceremony at Purple Heart Park in future years. The City of Tucson helped produced this video about Memorial Day at Purple Heart Park. Chapter Commander Mike-Rosie Dyer & Patriot Frank Giroux are interviewed for the video.

Our Annual Memorial Day Ceremony at Purple Heart Park is held at 10:00 a.m. at Purple Heart Park on Memorial Day.  A special thanks goes to the 162nd Tactical Fighter Wing, the University of Arizona “Pride” Alumni Band, the City of Tucson Department of Parks & Recreation, the local Boy Scouts & Girl Scouts Troops, & the Rita Ranch Neighborhood Association for their support in assisting with the ceremony.
